Implementing the ETA process looks easy and simple, because there is nothing required in advance.
All artistic activities require something else more, but not ETA. Art therapy requires materials and techniques to engage in artistic activities. To paint, you need at least paints, and to play music, you need an instrument. In addition, you need to be able to draw and play musical instruments.
No material tools or techniques are required to implement ETA. Only, if there’s space, it is enough. With a play director, ETA can begin.
All discussions and practices are conducted by the director. Therefore, a director who can lead the discussion, write, and have an eye for excellent performances is critical for a successful ETA process.
The following are places where the effcts can be maximized. (The abbreviations represent ETA categories.)

BUDGET in Implementing ETA
Spending
- There are labor and performance costs for this project.
- Labor costs are basically the director’s labor costs, and creative team labor costs may be added as needed.
- The cost of the performance is divided into production and presentation, production is for stage lighting sound, and presentation is for theater rental and performance progress. (In the absence of a performance, the expenditure is limited to the director’s labor cost.)
Income
- The basic income depends on fundraising and support, but you can expect the following income.
- If the venue is secured, you can expect profits from the venue itself. Of course, even if there is no concert hall, admission income is incurred. This is because all performances are paid.
- Professional theater companies can expect profits from performances. You can make profits by producing professional performances and selling them.
- Professional theater companies and other organizations can also plan and execute a variety of profitable projects, such as performance production, invitational performances by various groups or individuals, and event projects, and generate revenue. This is because, in the case of community centers, people who want to participate can be recruited and paid to them to create performances ordered or intended.
- Foreign language education is available for a fee.
- You can expect participants’ participation fees.
